چکیده

This paper reports on enzyme-like catalytic properties of polyethylene glycol-functionalized poly(N-phenylglycine) (PNPG-PEG) nanoparticles, which have not been explored to date. The developed nanoparticles the ability display great inherent peroxidase-like activity at very low concentrations, and are able catalyze oxidation 3,3′,5,5′-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) substrate in presence hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). oxidized product TMB has a deep blue color with maximum absorbance ~655 nm. PNPG-PEG exhibit Km values 0.2828 for 0.0799 H2O2, indicating that takes place lower concentration H2O2 comparison other nanozymes. Based known mechanism by hexavalent chromium [Cr(VI)] ions generate hydroxyl radicals (•OH), these were successfully applied colorimetric sensing Cr(VI) ions. sensor achieved good performance detection limits 0.012 μM (0.01–0.1 linear range) 0.52 (0.05–12.5 range). scheme was highly selective, real water samples.

Hierarchical NiCo2O4 Hollow Sphere as a Peroxidase Mimetic for Colorimetric Detection of H2O2 and Glucose

In this work, the hierarchical NiCo₂O₄ hollow sphere synthesized via a "coordinating etching and precipitating" process was demonstrated to exhibit intrinsic peroxidase-like activity. The peroxidase-like activity of NiCo₂O₄, NiO, and Co₃O₄ hollow spheres were comparatively studied by the catalytic oxidation reaction of 3,3,5,5-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) in presence of H₂O₂, and a superior perox...

Colorimetric detection of Escherichia coli O157:H7 using functionalized Au@Pt nanoparticles as peroxidase mimetics.

The presence of Escherichia coli (E. coli) in food and drinking water is a chronic problem worldwide. Protecting food against bacterial contamination and rapid diagnosis of infection require simple and rapid assays for detection of bacterial pathogens, including E. coli O157:H7. Here we report a rapid and novel colorimetric method for detecting E. coli O157:H7. This colorimetric method is based...

Hemoglobin detection using curcumin nanoparticles as a colorimetric chemosensor

This article presents a simple and efficient measurement system for quantitative sensing of blood hemoglobin (Hgb) using curcumin nanoparticles (CURNs). The Hgb monitoring is based on CURNs aggregation in the presence of Hgb, which leads to a decrease in the absorption intensity of CURNs. In this study the analytical signal for the measurement of blood Hgb concentration was defined as the diffe...

FeCo nanoparticles-embedded carbon nanofibers as robust peroxidase mimics for sensitive colorimetric detection of l-cysteine.

A simple and low cost detection of l-cysteine is essential in the fields of biosensors and medical diagnosis. In this study, we have developed a simple electrospinning, followed by calcination process to prepare FeCo nanoparticles embedded in carbon nanofibers (FeCo-CNFs) as an efficient peroxidase-like mimic for the detection of l-cysteine. FeCo nanoparticles are uniformly dispersed within CNF...

Selective colorimetric detection of Cr(iii) and Cr(vi) using gallic acid capped gold nanoparticles.

A colorimetric assay is proposed for the selective detection of Cr(iii) and Cr(vi) via the aggregation-induced color change of gallic acid capped gold nanoparticles (GA-AuNPs). The AuNPs are characterized using UV-vis spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), dynamic light scattering (DLS) and Fourier-transform infrared spectrometry (FT-IR). To detect Cr(iii) and Cr(vi) coexisting i...
